I strive to help clients turn their problems into strengths and become better versions of themselves. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling broken, overwhelmed, and hopeless, but our minds are flexible and resilient. Patterns of unhelpful thinking can be broken. Painful feelings can be integrated and transformed. We all have the innate capacity to heal, grow, and change. My goal is to help people tap into their internal resources for healing, so they can live the life they want.

My journey to becoming a therapist began with leading outdoor adventures. As a wilderness guide, climbing instructor, snowboard coach, and camp director, I learned how to build effective relationships and solve challenging problems. Doing this work with teens in treatment inspired me to pursue a career in mental health. After several years of providing school and clinic-based therapy in the local community, I started Free Range Mental Health to connect my passion for helping people with the freedom and possibility of the great outdoors.

I avoiding rigid diagnoses and canned approaches, customizing therapy to meet your individual needs. Using a collaborative and client-centered approach, we will establish a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. Together, we will explore your concerns with curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment. Drawing on a range of evidence-based therapy models, I empower individuals to deepen their capacity for self-compassion, improve relationships with themselves and others, and become the person they were always meant to be.

When you are ready, I would be honored to guide you on the journey to better mental health.

Life can be messy, weird, confusing, and difficult to navigate. Maybe you’ve noticed old patterns no longer serve you, or a recent life transition has been hard. It would be my honor to walk alongside you and make whatever you are going through feel a little less daunting.

I approach therapy with practicality, curiosity, and focus, using evidence-based, personalized approaches grounded in neuroscience. From the classroom setting to direct crisis intervention at the hospital, I have learned how stress and trauma show up in the body. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, customizing the work to fit you. As a therapist, my role is to help you define and achieve the change you desire. I am here to provide the structure that helps you achieve your desired outcomes. Together, we will set tangible goals and objectives so that the markers of progress are visible along the way.

Humans are resilient. Our brains are flexible. Our ability to change is beautiful and exciting. But change isn’t easy or effortless.  We need friction and barriers to grow. Meaningful therapy isn’t just supportive listening and validation. Like anything worthwhile, lasting change requires real, consistent effort within sessions, and outside of them as well.

I am continually inspired by my clients. Getting to be part of someone’s healing journey is something I honor deeply. When you’re ready to do the work, I will be there to support you.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest while hiking, skiing, mountain biking, foraging, crabbing. I also enjoy creative pursuits such as photography, sewing, and crafting, and feel fulfilled by live music, yoga, and community.

I believe that profound healing can be found when we stand alongside one another and listen. I’m here to witness your unique story and help you navigate through all of it: the good stuff, the heavy stuff, the scary stuff.

Through my background in Child Development and Family Studies, I developed a solid foundation in human development, attachment, and the complex dynamics that shape an individual within family systems. This supported the deep-rooted passion that I have for understanding how people grow, connect, and heal.

I use a holistic and integrative approach, incorporating somatic techniques and encouraging deep self-reflection to help you identify and overcome unhelpful thought patterns. We will unpack the dynamics of your inner world, and get to the root of the challenges you face. I offer practical tools and resources for your life outside of sessions for building confidence and empowerment. Healing takes courage, and seeking support is a powerful first step. Thank you for being here!

Being human is complex. Are you feeling lost or disconnected? Does it feel like anxiety, depression, grief, or low self-esteem are making it harder to move through life? You deserve to feel understood and supported, which is why I am passionate about creating a space where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely seen and heard, without judgment. Together, we’ll sort through your thoughts and emotions while also paying attention to how your body and past experiences hold important parts of your story. I work with intention and curiosity, moving at a pace that feels right for you as we make sense of what you’ve been carrying.

With a background in crisis care, I have supported individuals through some of their most overwhelming and uncertain moments. I am especially attuned to how anxiety, depression, grief, and struggles with self-worth can deepen into feelings of disconnection and hopelessness. Together, we will work to understand these experiences, soften the intensity around them, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

If you feel ready to begin exploring your story and deepening your sense of self, I would be honored to support you as you move toward greater clarity, connection, and a stronger sense of who you are. I look forward to beginning this healing journey with you. I’m really glad you’re here.

Do you feel stuck, constantly criticizing yourself, and feeling you aren’t good enough? Today’s young adults face a complex landscape of social pressures. Many are struggling with depression, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. Cycles of stress, shame or negativity can leave us feeling disconnected, broken, and worthless. Working through the struggles and pain you may be feeling is possible and you do not have to do it alone. Together, we can tap into your inner strengths, uncover the amazing human being at your core, and get back on the path to living the life you want.

With experience in crisis stabilization, I have helped individuals navigate the most difficult times of their lives.  I offer an attachment-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach to support you in achieving your desired goals.  Together, we can identify and address the patterns of unhelpful thinking and reactivity that keep you from finding the peace you desire.

Positive change and personal growth is possible for everyone. Reaching out to begin is often scary and intimidating. When you are ready to move forward, schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit to work together. I appreciate you being here and making the effort to take care of yourself.

In my free time, I enjoy running, hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing. When I am not outside, I enjoy reading, connecting with friends, and spending time with my cats.
